Steven Blanck is an attorney with the law firm of Jackson, Wade & Blanck, L.L.C. in Shawnee, Kansas and practices in the area of taxation and aviation law.
Mr. Blanck is admitted to practice law in Kansas and counsels clients from coast to coast and internationally on federal, state and international aviation tax matters, including work with limited liabilty companies and S corporations. He counsels clients in structuring their operations to maximize tax planning opportunities with respect to federal aviation excise taxes as well as state sales and use tax matters and like-kind exchanges of aircraft.
He also counsels clients on ownership and financing structures, leasing structures and operational issues. His practice includes handling joint ownership structures, fractional ownership structures, leasing and interchange arrangements. He also assists clients in negotiating contracts for the purchase of new aircraft, previously owned aircraft and undivided interests in aircraft under programs such as NetJets and Flight Options. He also represents clients during IRS Excise Tax audits as well as state audits and inquiries.
He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, National Business Aviation Association and National Aircraft Finance Association. Mr. Blanck received his B.S. in Political Science from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
